check out #StartupISK for some awesome commentary and pictures by those who were there
Wow, what a wonderful Startup Iceland week we had. Startup Iceland speakers, participants, founders, mentors and the community hit this one out of the park. Every Startup Iceland event since we started on this journey 7 years back has been dear to my heart and the feedback for this event is that we have raised the bar really high for the next event. I am overwhelmed, humbled, overjoyed and happy to see what an impact Startup Iceland has had on this tiny rock in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. We sold out the event, actually there were more people who walked in on the day of the event that we had to request that they stand to participate.
What was even more gratifying was to hear feedback from Founders reaching out to me and letting me know how useful the break sessions, mentoring sessions and the other small meetup activities that we did where we connected the speakers, investors and mentors with the Founders. I think I cannot emphasize how important this is for the founders and the Startup Community in Iceland. I think what we have created in Iceland through Startup Iceland is unique and fresh and beats any other conferences that you will ever attend. This is only possible because we keep the event size small and make sure the pricing of the tickets is affordable to Students, Startup Founders and anyone who wants to connect and learn to participate.
Here is the full video of the event with the schedule with the links so you can jump to any of the sections, the video was made by NMI one of Startup Iceland’s partners from the first event we launched in 2012:

In addition to the main event we had an open event in the Whales of Iceland Museum and we had some wonderful pictures taken by Reza Boulot (@rezakalfane_photo) a friend of Martyna Daniel, the Operations Manager of the Whales of Iceland Museum. These are great pictures and the startups who were finalists in the Stokkpallurinn contest got to pitch at the event, the same ones that pitched on the main event. We will share more pictures as they become available.
