John Biggs is back on popular demand. John, was confirmed to come last year but could not make it due to a scheduling conflict. I am happy to say we are going to make sure it is not the case this time. I think John is going to stay a little longer this time in Iceland and see what the fuss is all about with all the tourists flocking to Iceland.
John has done many things in his life, but one thing that I have always found inspiring is that he has been an excellent mentor for the Founders and Entrepreneurs. I cannot speak for all the founders and entrepreneurs he has mentored, but every founder in Iceland who took the opportunity to get to know him and work with him has given such great feedback that I had to get him back.
I got to know John, when he participated in Startup Iceland 2013. Since then he has been more or less been to every Startup Iceland event. John is hilarious, understands the challenges of getting attention for startups and has spoken about this in Startup Iceland. Today we have different channels to broadcast anything by anyone at anytime and that can lead to building a community, customers and hopefully a business. However, this is no longer easy, it was never easy but it was relatively easier say 5 years back, now it is extremely hard to climb through the noise and really showcase one’s ideas. John, knows how to navigate this space, he has successfully and unsuccessfully done this a number of times. If you are a founder, you need to connect with John and as I have said many times before, there is an excellent opportunity for that if you BUY the early bird ticket to Startup Iceland and schedule a one-on-one mentoring session with him.
