With an impressive background as an Icelandic engineer, project manager, and video game producer, Lina brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our esteemed panel. Lina’s journey began in the world of gaming at CCP games. She continued to rise within the gaming industry when she joined EA DICE in Stockholm, Sweden. As a key figure in the development of iconic games like Star Wars Battlefront and FIFA, she coordinated the collaboration of multiple teams and showcased her exceptional project management skills. Her passion for gaming and her commitment to excellence led her to assume a leadership role as the chair of Icelandic Gaming Industry. She decided to come back to Iceland and took on the role of chairman of the board of Icelandic game developer Solid Clouds.
Continuing her commitment to the industry, Lina joined Aldin’s board of directors, a pioneering virtual reality company. Her vast experience in game production has made her an invaluable addition to the team, providing strategic guidance and direction. Lina’s influence extends beyond the gaming world, as she serves on the board of Mussila, a music education app, and Carbon Recycle International.
As a sought-after public speaker, Lina has inspired and educated countless individuals with her insights into the gaming industry and her experience as a successful entrepreneur. She is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in the tech world, empowering women and underrepresented groups to make their mark in the field.
