Finnur has contributed significant advancements in several interrelated fields such as wave based acoustic simulations and virtual acoustics through his career.
Finnur Pind is an acoustics researcher, he studied at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and at the building design studio Henning Larsen. He holds a BSc in electrical- and computer engineering from the University of Iceland, a MSc in acoustical engineering from DTU. He also recently graduated with a PhD from DTU in acoustical engineering. Prior to his research career, Finnur was a software engineer and an acoustical consultant for several years.
Finnur is the co-founder and CEO of Treble Technologies. Treble are developing the next generation sound simulation and sound rendering technology for virtual worlds. Whether for building design, product development, video games or VR/AR, their proprietary technology enables 3D sound that is perceptually indistinguishable from the real world, and ground-breaking engineering analysis/design capabilities for anything related to sound.
